Rums-felt

Here is something you didn’t know. Apparently, Donald Rumsfeld is a poet . Neither did I. Right.

    There once was a fellow named Rummy
    Who seemed to be kind of a dummy;
    His words were confusing,
    Albeit amusing;
    But even as poems they are crummy.

    I’d contract it to a “they’re” in the last line to make it scan, but otherwise you’re score is:

    8 points for limerick format,
    3 points for spontaneity

    for a total of 11 points, which, on a 10-point scale is quite good.

    Alden: -1 for improper overuse of contracted forms of “are.”

    Yay! I got points! And I think there’s a Spinal Tap reference in there, so that’s even better!

    Joe: improper overuse? Negative gold star for a) confusing syntax, b) masquerading as Grammar Police, and c) raining on the limerick parade.

    oops, I see what Joe means. Negative 10 points to me for not catching the “you’re/your” fuckup.

    Actually, I think fuck-up is hyphenated.
